Sharjah Football Club, also known as Sharjah FC, was founded in 1966, with a vision of guiding young individuals who display a passion for football and moulding them into professional soccer players who can represent their teams and gain honors regionally and globally. Sharjah FC is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and has won many soccer accolades including wining the President’s Cup (a prestigious national soccer competition and the UAE’s equivalent of the FA Cup or Copra Del Rei) on eight occasions.

With the exponentially growing expatriate population in UAE, there has been an increase in opportunities for expatriates to join and train in various UAE soccer teams. Sharjah FC with the backing of Libra Football Academy, has created the Sharjah FC Soccer School program. This program comprises of selected private schools who work collaboratively with Sharjah FC to promote soccer awareness and participation. To effectively carry out this mission, Sharjah FC has created soccer camps to help these member schools provide high-quality and fun-filled learning opportunities for their students, both inside and outside the club. One of the recent developments of the Sharjah FC Soccer School program is the 1000 touches curriculum that addresses key areas concerning soccer technical development and its huge impact on game performance. Other areas of focus in this curriculum is the early mastery of core technical skills and the emphasis that the more time players spend in contact with the ball as they learn and practice new skills, the quicker they will master them and the better they will execute such skills in game situations.

We are extremely proud to announce that Sharjah FC has invited Delta English School to join as one of the member schools for the Sharjah FC Soccer School program. This will provide an excellent opportunity for Delta English School students. We are confident that the Sharjah FC Soccer School program will enable Titans to gain mastery and professional experience in soccer as well as develop other personal attributes that are keys to their success at Delta English School and in life which include but does not limit to motivation, team work, sportsmanship, leadership, winning personality and good work ethics. Those students who participate in these coaching sessions will elevate their chances of being inducted into Delta English School football team in the future.
